How do I view metadata for a photo?

Tap the + button on the Inspect tab and choose "Browse Files" to select a file, or "Photo Library" to pick from your photos. The metadata will be displayed automatically.
What file types are supported?

Media Inspector supports JPEG, HEIC, PNG, TIFF, RAW formats, GIF, WebP, as well as video files (MP4, MOV, M4V, AVI), audio files (MP3, WAV, AIFF, M4A), and PDFs.
Can I edit EXIF data?

Yes! When viewing an image's metadata, tap the menu button (•••) and select "Customize Layout" to edit. You can modify dates, copyright info, artist name, GPS location, and more.
How do I remove GPS location from photos?

In the metadata editor, scroll to the Location section and toggle "Remove GPS Location." Save the file to strip all location data for privacy.
Can I edit multiple photos at once?

Yes! Use the Batch Edit tab to select multiple images and apply the same metadata changes to all of them at once. You can also use EXIF templates for quick application.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?

No. All processing happens entirely on your device. We never upload your photos, videos, or any data to any server. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I export metadata?

Tap the menu button (•••) while viewing metadata and select "Share." You can export as plain text, JSON, or XML format. Choose your preferred format from the menu.
